Soft Pull Solutions - Pre-Qualification Work Flow

  1. Consumer is seeking a loan for auto, mortgage, solar, equipment, business loan, or other “non auto” and “non mortgage” financing.
  2. Consumer fills out a short pre-qualification credit application providing the following information:
    • Name
    • Address
    • Phone Number
    • Email Address
  3. Soft Pull Solution’s client (the end user) captures customer consent through pre-qual credit application (physical signature or digital signature required)

Example of pre-qual credit application:

  1. Privacy Policy is then provided to the consumer. Example can be found at this website:
    www.softpullsolutions.com/privacypolicy
  2. Soft pull is performed by the end user and viewed from the Soft Pull Solutions portal.

Soft pull credit report will never be shared with the consumer. The consumer will not see, view, or know the results of the soft pull report. It is for pre-qualification purposes and for the business to help the applicant get approved for financing.

  1. Consumer submits an enhanced credit application which includes messaging informing the consumer a hard inquiry credit report will be performed by lender(s). Example can be found at:
    www.softpullsolutions.com/enhancedapplication
  2. The consumer’s information from the “enhanced credit application” is sent to the lender from the end user. Credit reports will never be shared/transferred between two business entities.
  3. The lender(s) performs a hard pull. (The Lender may be a separate business entity from the company who is performing the pre-qual soft pull)
  4. Lender provides the applicant a risk based pricing notification. Example can be found at this website:
    www.softpullsolutions.com/riskbasedpricingnotification
  5. If the consumer is approved for financing, information will be provided to the consumer about the credit product(s) he/she has been approved for.
  6. If the consumer is denied financing, the lender provides an adverse action letter. Example can be found at this website:
    www.softpullsolutions.com/adverseaction

I do agree to follow the steps listed above as an approved workflow and I understand a soft pull report is used to prequalify a consumer and cannot be used to make a lending decision. A hard pull must be performed if the consumer is approved for financing and credit is being extended.
